With effect from 1^st November 2010, the service for Surrender Certificate on Renunciation of Indian Citizenship will be provided by M/s VF Services-Canada at VFS Centres located at Surrey*, Vancouver*, Calgary* and Edmonton*.  No applications will be accepted at the Consulate General of India, #201-325 Howe Street, Vancouver from Monday, 18^th October 2010. 

VFS will charge their service fees of C$19.25 plus applicable taxes in addition to the various fees prescribed for Renunciation/Surrender Certificates and miscellaneous services.

 [Kindly Note: Surrender Certificates are not required in cases where the Indian passport has already been cancelled/ surrendered on acquisition of foreign nationality.]
