On 26th January 2017 (Thursday), the celebrations of the 68th Republic Day of India were organised at two locations by the Consulate General of India. The morning function held at the Consulate premises was attended by more than 50 members of the Indian diaspora. Mr. Harjit Sajjan, Hon’ble Minister of National Defence of Canada and Mr. Amrik Virk, Hon’ble Minister of Technology, Innovation and Citizens' Services of British Columbia graced the evening function held at Aria Banquet Hall, Surrey. The evening function was attended by more than 400 distinguished guests.
